In cooperation with Counterterrorism Certification Board (CCTB)
Certified Counter-Terrorism Practitioner (CCTP)
ABOUT CCTP CERTIFICATION SCHEME
At the Certified Counter Terrorism Board, we have developed and maintained a voluntary and
comprehensive certification scheme that is recognized as the standard of excellence for competent
counter terrorism professionals. It has been designed by practitioners, for practitioners. This is critical,
as it is only through understanding the threat of terrorism globally, having the ability to identify the
various threats and modus operandi of the terrorist, and possessing the ability to assess the risk and
to implement the necessary processes and technological protective measures, that we have the
ability to prepare and respond to terrorist acts efficiently and effectively.
The CCTP certification provides demonstrable proof of knowledge, skill and experience in key areas
for the purposes of mitigating the threat of terrorism, and by providing proactive measures to reduce
the vulnerability of individuals and property to terrorist acts.
CCTP ACCREDITATION
The Certified Counter-Terrorism Practitioner program meets the requirements and those set forth in
ISO 17024. International Standard ISO/IEC 17024 is the benchmark and requirement for each
organization providing certification of persons. The requirements specified in ISO/IEC 17024 aim to
help personnel certifying organizations protect the integrity and ensure the validity of their various
personnel certification programs. Confidence in the respective certification schemes is achieved by
means of a globally accepted process of assessment, subsequent surveillance and periodic reassessments of the competence of certified persons.
Certified Counter Terrorism Board is accredited as a Certification Body by Singapore Accreditation
